Here's another falseta (instrumental melodic section) of the flamenco palo (style) guajiras by Paco De Lucia. Check out how the same melodic idea transposes itself upward to different keys, what a remarkable short composition!

Guajiras is considered an 'import style' of flamenco, having been greatly influenced by external (from Andalucia) factors. The guajiras has many elements of Cuban music, but still retains a characteristic flamenco 12-beat compas (rhythmic cycle).
