About the event
It is humbling to know that God speaks directly to us, and it is even more awe-inspiring to know that He relates personally to each of our diverse lived experiences throughout all time - past, present and future.
In this performance, Neil weaves the narratives of three distinct repertories, painting an interconnected musical picture of our shared humanity and unified walk in Christ across cultural backgrounds, time periods and circumstances.
Spirituals are folk songs created by enslaved Africans during the 16th - 19th century. Victims of the most unimaginable violence and injustice, the spirituals give us a remarkable insight into true stories of deep suffering, unshakable hope, and the faith that carried generations forward.
Scripture Songs draw directly from God's word, using music to express the emotive qualities of the truth upon which the Christian faith stands.
Journey Pieces are interdisciplinary works of music, painting and storytelling to emotionally articulate the powerful testimonies of everyday Christians in 21st century Singapore.
Come listen deeply, reflect freely, and voyage through remarkable stories of faith and the unifying power of the gospel through generations.
